The Democratic primary is flawed in that it puts forth the second best candidate for election. A great way to lose the general election in my opinion. If their primary system were like the republicans--winner take all--the strongest candidate would have won. Hillary. If they held their primary system like the general election--awarding EVs to each candidate according to the state--Hillary would have crushed Obama 308-230. Instead the dems choose to stick with an antiquated system that puts the weaker candidate in the general electiom. Then they wonder why they lose.

No she wasn't the strongest candidate. Hillary was a carry-over from the past. She has the influence of Washington written all over her. Was it good that a woman got a chance to vie for the presidency? Yes. Do I want a woman president someday? Yes, when the right one comes along. Hillary was/is divisive and hurtful even to her own party. Notice that some of her comments about Barack are now coming back to haunt him in the GE? She created talking points for the rethugs. Don't get her near the WH. From what I can see, the electoral college method seems closer to delegate math than to popular vote. And Obama won by delegates.
Now they are saying,in the GE, Obama could win the popular vote, but lose because he loses the Electoral college vote. So, not clear where you got your reasoning from.
Better to have walked the walk than just talked the talk.
